    can someone tell me what size this hex-star bolt is?

    its on the mount for the alternator/etc.

    It looks like one of the bolts that holds the accessories mount securely in place to the motor. They are all mostly hex star bolts, the accessories mount. Make sure it's tight and the arm/mount isn't wobbly, else you're serentine belt will be off and might squeek.

      oh, I'm trying to take it off so I can paint the block, do an mild overhaul, but i dont have one of those pieces, I need to know what size to buy.

        Jsut buy a torx set for a socket wrench I think I got a full set for like $20, and I have used odd sizes all over the car it worht getting.

          I think it is either a T6 or T16. I can't remember which order the numbers are in (big to small or small to big). It should be the same size as the seat belt bolts.

          Definitely get a set.
