  • Walbro 255 question...(yes I searched)

Well my pump is crapping out on me, so..

I plan on spending $110 on a walbro instead of $300 on the stock replacement. I am dropping the axle and dropping the tank, I do not want to cut my car open.

Anyways, I just have a question on exactly how/what I need to fix or do to make it fit into the stock boot and how it connects. I heard it isn't a perfect fit and possible wire splicing?

Thanks in advance, all help is very appreciated,
    Scott

I think you need to trim the inside of the bucket for
the pump to fit all the way in. you may also need to seal the top of the bucket when you put it back together...not sure...havent done it yet...not much help.

I pasted someboddies great write up on fuel pump replacement on my site. it is cor cuting a whole in the trunk buthe also goes into detail about the rest of the stuff like rigging the bucket for the aftermarket pump.
