  • warranty almost out, need help!

ok, my warranty runs out in 2400 miles, and i have to make a 1k mile trip this weekend. so that's putting me awefully close. my car has been acting wierd for a couple months now, has a rough start every once in a while, and has pretty bad acceleration below 2500 rpm (much worse than i should have even with 3.08's) is it possible even if there's no ses light that there can be codes that can be pulled? sorry if that's a dumb question, but i really don't know how it works. or is there any other way to figure out the problem? i really don't want to have to pay for the problem, and i'm worried it won't completely die on me until right after the warranty is gone, so any help is appreciated, thanks.

I agree with speed freak. Also have the look at/fix anything you aren't sure is running right. As long as its on record, they MUST cover you for 1yr/12,000mi after you bring it in for a certian problem.

Perfect Example: (of this and of Murphy's Law)

I felt the transmission wasn't shifting right back at 31,000mi and they said everything was normal. Literally, 36,015...THAT'S RIGHT, 15mi after the warranty ran out I got SES tranny slippage. I $hit a brick and ran back over and I said look you sons of bit*ches I'm not paying for anything since there obviously was a problem before and you didn't rectify it. Guess what, problem was fixed (BTW, it was just two blown sensors...thank goodness)
