    I was amazed today, I got a response from GM customer service:

    Dear Mr. Szelog,

    1999 Camaro. We have created a computer request with the information you have
    provided. Your request number is 1-23761960. Please contact the Customer

    If you would prefer to continue to work through e-mail, we certainly understand.
    We will attempt to resolve your concern in the shortest period possible.

    Hopefully, fixing the thing will be this easy, and maybe Chevy will be a little more helpful on a regular basis. Maybe we could even work with them on solving the problems (I'm going to suggest it), if they want our help. I'll let you all know what happens.

      I had an oil leak in the rear main seal a while ago. Took it to the dealer picked the car back the next day and within 40 miles the engine exploded. Cams, heads, cylinders, cylinder walls, everything went poof.

      In the process of fixing the oil leak the dealer destroyed the oil pan and the engine died from oil deprivation. Of course I was blamed for the problem the dealer refused to fix it (this was about a month before my warranty expired). Luckily I had extended warranty and they paid for it. My mechanic found a brand new engine with 1100 miles on it from a 2000 model (my car is '99).

      I'm still bitter about the whole thing though. [img]smile.gif[/img]
