Hey guys, i just joined onto this site, but i've been reading it for a long time. I have a '93 firebird, 3.4 liter V6. It has functional ram air, and a dynomax exhaust. The only problem is when I start it up, theres a loud whining. It sounds like its got a blower on it lol. I've tried to find it, but I cant. Has this happened to anybody else, or do you guys know what it might be? I'm thinking one of the belts.

Maybe the belt is whining. -
my guess is the serpentine belt, a/c compressor bearings, or if the sound is coming from the rear it could be your fuel pump.I will take on all comers...or come on all takers!!! Whichever you prefer.Comment

sorry for the double post, but if you have an aftermarket stero i could be cause by a bad ground causing a static interfernce, thus giving you a whine whenever your car is running
