Hi All:
I don't understand something. I have a 99 camaro so I want to replace my front brake pads with the AC Delcos. When I look online they offer the following acdelco pads for my car:
1. ACDELCO Pad Kit Front Durastop Ceramic (Ceramic recommended due to OE BRK Parameters; W/HDW) Price: $45.79
2. ACDELCO Pad Kit Front Disc Brake Durastop Semi Metallic Price: $52.79
3. ACDELCO Pad Kit Front Disc Brake Durastop Semi Metallic High Performance Price $76.89
Ok my question is I thought ceramic pads are more expensive then metallic so why is it that the #1 ceramics are cheaper then #2 and #3. So for best performance as well as no brake squeal should I go with #1 which seem to be the cars original. I don't quite understand what #3 or #2 will buy me. Will #3 give me more breaking power as well as no squeal. Please advise.
