Who would win? A stock 1995 3.4l Camaro w/ Automatic, or a 1994 Honda Civic EX 5 speed w/ everything stock except a CAI.
1995 Bluish green 3.4l Camaro.<br />Bone stock right now lol!<br /><a href=\"http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2042355\" target=\"_blank\">http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2042355</a>

wow, a lot of bench racing without considering gearing, weight, power-to-weight ratio, etc....look it up and you'll find the performance numbers not too far apart.

civics suck out of the hole. they make all their power up top. so from a stop youd more than likely win. from a roll it would be alot closer esp if it is a vtech motor. those cars are better up top due too the light weight and higher revving motors.

They are also geared to wind up faster too. If you have a top ender all you gotta do is rev it up and side step...more wear and tear, but hey, it gets the job done :D

I think this would be better suited in the Kill Stories forum, which is what 3.4 slow to go was getting at. If I'm wrong, sue me .

is the 'civic vs. camaro' thing even worthy talking about? a buddy of mine with a 93 SE-R took a turbo civic EX (6lbs of boost) stock SE-R...but that thing is suprisingly quick! (though he still gets a great view of my brakelights

close race, but assuming your car is in tip top mechanical shape youll win
because lets face it, the 3.4 is piss slow stock
add a few things, and be surprised
I will take on all comers...or come on all takers!!! Whichever you prefer.

This is not always true. most of the vtech engines have a very narrow power band. sure you can rev it up and dump it but it will still fall out of the peak power band

So the guy in the Civic should keep his revs low at the light because it has a lot of low end torque?
