Just got the car Dynoed. I only did it N/A because I have a very strange problem with the injectors dropping pulse width when the nitrous kicks in. I need to figure that one out before I push the car with nitrous again. Here are the N/A numbers.

231.5 RWHP @ 6000 rpms
230.6 RWTQ @ 4700 rpms

The car might have more above 6000 rpms but something happens at 6000 to cause the car to pull fuel. All the limiters (at least the ones I can see with HP Tuners) have been raised over 6400 but there is still some kind of limiter at 6000 rpms that I can't see.

Hopefully, I will get the nitrous problem figured out and get some numbers on the juice.

Nice!
I can't wait to get mine on a dyno. Yours did so well, and it's not even really an N/A cam. With my cam and the heads, I'd probably be even higher.

hmmm...yeah i think you're running lean on the juice..be careful man..with a cam and those numbers n/a you should be more like mid - high 12s with traction and a wet 100 shot..are you still on the stock injectors?..you wouldnt think you'd need to increase them because you're running a wet kit..but i wonder what all that pressure to the rail and the cam is doing to them..thats why i didnt go with a cam..i'd NEVER be able to tune for it lol ..but thats a VERY nice n/a pull..when you get the nitrous and the cam playing friendly..its gonna rock even MORE ..nicely done

I fell so stupid! I thought I checked this when I put the Cam in. Its the injectors. They are at max duty cycle. Did some searched and looked at it two ways.

1. In the tech section it gives a formula for HP to Injector size. Based on that calculation, I am at 91% duty cycle, well over the recomended max of 80%

2. During scanning, I am seeing the PCM requesting a 21.5 ms pulse width. Based on a formula on max pulse width, I need 20 ms at 6000 rpms. The injectors can not physically be open more then 20 ms.

I NEED BIGGER INJECTORS.

thought so ;) ..give it a try man! ..i think youl'l actually see some better n/a numbers too..i dont think its the juice i think its the cam..you're running pretty close to locking them up with the cam alone..although the extra fuel for the nitrous does not utilize the injectors..it still needs to be supplied..rasing the fuel pressure at the rail..im not sure whether or not that would effect them..id get a set of 26# - 28# injectors..that should definitely do it

get the injectors in! I wanna see that car in action...

BTW run the car N/A anytime recently? what kind of mph were you pulling?

14.7 @ 96.8 N/A.

It was not on purpose, I turned the heater back on instead of arming the nitrous. Didn't figure it out until I crossed the finish line in third gear.

I started thinking about the HP and the injectors. The HP the formula talks about is motor HP. I am way over if you figure my 231 RWHP works out to almost 270 HP at the motor.

I am getting a set of 36# injectors that came off a GTP. They should work up to about 375 RWHP either N/A or boost. My cam already makes the idle really loppy, these injectors should make it down right obnosious.

yeah those will do it..im probably gonna be getting a set of 36# myself for juice..about the idle..try raising your idle RPM about 200 RPMs

Yea, I will have to play with the idle a little. When you need those injectors, let me know. I got them from a guy who works on GTPs and I bet he has some more. $50 for the set. Not bad.

Let me get the first set to make sure everything is cool with this. I will then get you the guys e-mail. He takes Pay-Pal. By the time you get them, I will know what changes need to be made in the PCM and let you know.

that would be awesome..i asked HP Tuners a while ago and they just said..

The most common method is to just multiply the existing Flow Rate vs KPA table by the increase in injector size. eg. if you currently have 22lb and are going to 36lb then muliply the whole Flow Rate vs KPA table by 36/22 or 1.636

..for my stock 22# injectors the flow rate vs KPA table actually says 22.18 ..so that equation comes out to be 36.15 ..so it seems accurate
