  • Rocker install price on a 3.8 is it high or low?

I was quoted $425 for the install of rocker set that zzperformance came out with. Is this high or low? Personally I think it is high for a 3 hour job but that is what the dealership quoted me. Any input would be helpful. Thanks

yeah its not that bad if you have all the hand tools and a torque wrench..

check out website in my sig
      roll over installs
      click bills 3800
      and its there..

its not a complete comprehensive install, but it will give you a good idea about whats involved

gains on pretty much ALL of the rocker arm mods are in the 10-12 hp range.. the cool thing about the zzp kit i got was it got power all the way though the curve.. so it a well rounded simple mod..

again, dyno info can be found on my website for the zzp ER rocker kit.

              click link in sig
              roll over performance
              click bills 3800

              later,
              Billy

                OOHH and also,
smhcamaro, what kit did you get? was it the ER kit (this kit has 2 diffrent ratio arms) or jsut one of his standard kits (all arms have the same ratio)?

the ER kits kinda special, i dont think its on the website yet.

                later,
                Bill

I've decided I'm going to get the ER kit, have not got it yet but will within the next week or two providing I can go somewhere that I dont get raped on labor. I know everyone says this is a pretty straight foreward easy install and I would like to do it myself but I have NO engine working experience at all. If it comes to the exterior and little things like that I have great patients and can do things nice but engine work beside basic bolt-ons is a no no for me. I will be calling a couple of other places to get a few more quotes. The only reason I go to Hallmans (dealership) is becuase I know it is done right. I had my gear swap done there ($400). Thanks for all of the input.
