ya the 3.4 motors use the old obd 1 style connector but a obd ii baud rate so you cant just flash codes which is gay..

i've yet to find a code reader that reads it.

Speedo Works, Tach and all that stuff work, I still havent decided on if the oil pressure gauge works, It's kinda erratic, But on all the cars I've ever had it never worked, So I don't know what it's sposed to read lol. Spark plug gaps are right, I'm sure, Just replaced them like maybe 3 weeks ago. PCV valve should be good, I'll check it again though. The thing is, I noticed once it gets warmed up I idle fine. How come it idles so rough at a cold start? I know it has to heat up the 02 sensors to go into closed loop. It's kinda random I guess, Sometimes I'll be sitting at a red light and the car feels like It's gonna shake itself apart, and other times I can barely tell its on. It's very frustrating..

3.4 has single-wire O2 sensors, not the heated 3-wire like the 3.8 has. From what I understand of single-wire O2 sensors they don't give accurate readings until heated up by the exhaust, so the computer uses built-in settings until the engine goes closed-loop, at which point it starts adjusting based on the sensor input.
