Yup, remove the large bolt and the 4 bolts that hold the pulley on the balancer. The balancer removal tool will come with bolts. Use the supplied bolts and thread them into the holes on the harmonic balancer. The, as you turn the puller's center bolt , it will pull the balancer off.- Josh
If you have any questions or need installation pics/help, e-mail me: Viper98885@aol.com
\'93 Camaro Hardtop
\'01 Lincoln LS8 Sport
\'00 Yamaha YZF-R6
Full Throttle Performance

What these guys said. Use a balancer removal tool with a rotating tip. I learned the hard way and used one w/o it, the balacer came apart.

Took the tool back "POWER FIST - Made in Japan", exchanged it for a Lyles (Made in USA), which was beefy.
Pulled the balancer off, no sweat.
still wonder where my leak is coming from. Frost plug(s) or timing cover...

well, what are you leaking? if it were your casting plugs (freeze plugs) then you would probably be leaking coolant and if it was your timing cover, than you could be leaking oil. but you need to pinpoint where it is coming from, not just guessing because a peice covered in fluid could leak the same fluid.
