You should expect to be told to search. ;)
From what I've heard, it can get pretty bad. Maybe add some extra weight in the trunk.Matt

In Michigan I would invest in a 2nd set of wheels for dedicated snow tires. I can barely get by with all-seasons in PA. Anything more than an inch or two on the road and I'm taking the Subaru. :D1994 Firebird 3.4
15.65 @ 86.8
funkz.net/firebird
Timeslips

a f-body can drive in 2 feet of snow trust me ;)
i would say the first time it snow find a parking and slam on you brakes see if it stop strat and make sure your abs is working. next left and right turns, and see what happes when you give to much gas lolwww.turbov6camaro.com

Get the snow tires. They have a much more aggressive tread than the all-season. Very wise investment. If you can, do like FUNKZ and buy wheels just for the snow tires. Because I did this on my 78 Camaro, the snow tires lasted 5 years.
Also, around here one can buy "tubes of sand". They come in 40lb bags and I use to put 2 of them in the rear floor boards. Try to keep any extra weight over top of the rear axle as much as possible.
Also, if you know a storm is coming, keep the fuel tank full. It adds weight.
Or......you can buy a snow car.
PS. Be careful with snow tires on wet pavement. Because of the aggresive tread, this means there is less rubber on the road.Dr Todd

f-bodies scream for two set of tires. When it is snowing, you will be much happier with the dedicated snow tire (I'm going to try the Nokian RSI). Then the rest of the year you don't have to be driving around on an all season tire.

F bodies in the snow can be either very fun or very frightening, depending on the situation. What I'm wondering is, how do they compare to other RWD cars like Mercedes, Lexus, Infiniti, even Ford Crown Vics? Do these cars have the same problems in the snow as we do? If not, why not?
By the way, I went the "snow car" route. The Firebird sits out the winter safe and sound in the garage. I'm more fearful of salt and rust than traction problems.2002 Silver Firebird A4
T-Tops, Leather, Y87, W68, Chrome Wheels
Bone Stock

i'm in michigan as well and i've found the perfect solution to getting an f-body through the winter here:
chains. yep, i'm putting big *** chains on my rear wheels.
nah, but the second gear start helps a TON in the rain... i'm just hoping it'll do the same for snow.1996 Pontiac Firebird
Black, 3.8L A4

my car did great in the snow and ice last year but since you probably get alt more snow than me, get winter tires

I run all season tires all year, including snowy winter. Mine isn't too bad, the only major problem is how low the cars are to the ground. When the snow gets deep, mine gets stuck and needs a push...happens about 2-5 times per winter. The back end can come around on you pretty bad too if you give it gas in a turn. I am not sure how much snow tires would help out with these issues.1999 Y87 Camaro
Whisper Lid, SLP SS Takeoff Exhaust

as for being compared to other RWD cars, all RWD cars are going to have the same problems just to a lesser extent. our cars get alot more squirly than say a crown vic because were alot lighter and our shorter wheelbase. 2wd light trucks are even worse than F-bodys in the snow1994 white Firebird M5
Flowmasters, CAI, 3.73s, LSD, coated pacesetters, eibach pro-kit, bilsteins, hurst shifter, JVC stereo, 18\" C5 vette wheels, Kuhmo Ecsta ASX rubber

http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/744299

Coming Soon: Turbo!
