I seem to have the same problem as was referenced in this postwindow post

I am wondering about the setups.. know I am going to have to drill out the rivet.. but see they are riveted from the outside in.. so the rivet head is between the outside of the door and glass. Is this the way everyone else's rivets are set up . it mentions drilling out the rivet and knocking off the head with a punch.. well usually when you drill out a rivet you drill through the head.. not the bottom part..
they mention it not being that difficult but I am really nervous about putting a drill or punch near my window glass.. I was also thinking about maybe taking a dremmel with a cutoff blade attachd and cutting the bottom half(opposite of the head) off with it and just easliy pressing the rivet out ...

so anyone got any tips for me.. if the dealer has the part in stock.. (which I highly doubt they will) I will be doing this tonight..

edit.. went by at lunch.. part is ordered so I won't be doing it till tomorrow night.. plenty of time to see if anyone has any tips for me on this.. very nervous about trying to get the window off the cradle.. :(

well.. I was going to do this myself but thought I would go by a local glass shop and ask how much they would charge yesterday afternoon about 3:30... conversation went like this:
Me: how much would you charge to change this cradle..
    them: oah 30 bucks
me: can you do it this afternoon
    them: yep
    me: go for it..
watched the guy knock out the rivets.. i could do it myself now and am confident I could do this without breaking the glass.. though I would let them do it again for 30 bucks.. and 40 minutes of my time.. so 30 bucks well spent..

that's cool. I just converted my manual windows over to power and it was a pita. I wish I could have found somebody to do it for me.

use a vise to hold the window up.
