im hoping to hear from a few people that actually have it..the rear of my car is stripped to a shell..no carpetting or anything..i can just make out the sound of what i assume is the factory pump..how much louder is the Walbro 255lph intank pump going to be??
I have carpeting and stuff in the back and for the most part i can only hear it from outside of the car. Its quite a bit louder but its not like "omg wtf is that noise". Also, the open downpipe muffles a bit.
I couldn't tell any difference when I put mine in. If you have a aftermarket exhaust you shouldn't notice it much.
08' L76 6.0L 4X4 Chevy EXT.Cab LTZ Vortec MAX with Snug top cover, Dynomax exhaust,Hptuners& K&N intake
96' Camaro M5 to A4 conversion, alot of mods . GT35R Turbo full suspension. Built engine
just sounds like a quiet hum coming from the back of the car... nothing serious, isnt like a fuel pump on a old small block where you can sometimes hear it over exhaust
as long as its not like my freakin MSD inline one..anything you can hear over my exhaust is WAY too loud lol..im just gonna put a toggle switch on it and log how it holds up..if it doesnt..then this is going to be what i go with
cool..my only concern is that i'll hear it a bit more than most people because i dont have anything in my car from the front seats back..no carpet..nothing..just a metal shell
Originally posted by mike h: stock pumps = 155 LPH and that one = 255 LPH. does that cut your fuel economy in half? what does that mean?
no, you still have a regulator to control fuel getting to the fuel rails. it just gives you the option to have enough fuel going for bigger injectors and such.
