Getting faster than 14.71@ 97.36...

I thought that trap speed was a little...off if you ask me. Now 14.7@87 would sound more like it. I didn't catch if he was running slicks or what but I WILL find out. -B

To reach 14 flat (or trap near 97mph)in a 3.4, you need an act of god n/a, or some kind of FI/spray

I was just about to say the same thing. It is gonna take quite a few mods to catch somone who is trapping more than 10mph higher than you.

no, 14.7 at 97 is believable. Take my time for instance. I pulled a 15.1 @ 91.13, and i had a 2.3 60'. If i had slicks and got that 60' to a 1.8 or so, i would easily be 14.5 range, but im on street tires.

All that happened was your friend spun real bad off the line, got wheel hop, whatever. Its a FWD car, so its totally believeable.

When your friend runs slicks, if he ever gets the balls (i still dont have the balls, its my daily driver), he could pull a low low low 14.

AEM cai, Tornado in the intake, Denso Iridium spark plugs, Redline class 5 synthetic motor oil and Redline class 5 synthetic Water Wetter in the radiator, and a Q-TEC electronic cut-out and I have also taken out my stereo in the back, the rear seats and most of the rear carpeting.

That's his mods. That's insane that thing is THAT fast. God my car is slow.

With just an intake as the only actual decent mod, id love to see how a 200hp car is trapping 97mph.

Well....... since this is on a college student budget....

3:73's &lt;--- used
Poly TQ arm mount &lt;--- cheap
Converter, 3,000+ rpm &lt;--- most expensive but worth it!
free ram air ducting &lt;--- home depot... cheap

Basically...... build a car that will 60 ft - 1/8th mile him.

Highway races...... not gonna happen on a limited budget.
