Would it be better to upgrade to 3.42 gears before or after I replace my differential with a limited slip???

How much of a pain in the butt would it be doing both?? To install the gears, you have to take out the differential. You might as well just put the new diff in at the same time so that you only have to do all the work once.

a lot of guys do the gears/diffy at the same time. really just a matter of convenience/cost effectiveness. if you do them separately, you'll have to crack open and replace fluid twice.
