Have to get smogged this weekend. Any tips? Heres the usual parts:
EGR- Replaced last weekend (old one set of SES)
Spark Plugs- Less than 15k/1 year old
Air Filters- SLP Intake=3 months/3,000 old
Fuel Filter- Last year
Wires- Still OK
Ran some fuel cleaner earlier in the month...change the oil & filter Friday.
Take a nice long hard drive before you go. You want your car VARY hot before you get tested. Do a lot of city driving and sitting in traffic is a great way to get that temp up.

LOL, why are you so worried about it passing emmissons? Well down here anyway they don't seem to be so strict on it. My car passed pretty easily. My beater didn't though I had to dump some money into that. What are the benefits from removing the EGR valve? or did you just replace yours?
One guy let me know south bay F-body club, it might be interesting.

I had my car smogged in NC one time just for the hell of it, mechanic was a friend, and we just did it one morning, wasn't running long at all before or anything. I was so far below the limits it wasn't even an issue. I think most of you as long as you still have a cat in your car will breeze emissions, there is no need to worry unless you have a missfire, or something of that nature.

In the Milwaukee area here, they don't even test the tail pipe anymore. They just scan the ECM for codes. FOr OBIIs that is.

Delaware has some loose smog rules, same with NC. CA are tough and now so are parts of TX. Delaware the emisions is done at idle, where CA and TX are done through a range of RPMs (I think).
