  • problem with Air Conditioner...

ok.. i have a problem.. my AC works, its just that it only blows at the feet.

if i start it at the slowest speed..and gradually increase it, it will blow through the vents. but once i barely tap the gas peddal, it goes to my feet again. what is wrong? how do i fix that?!

You have a vacuum leak probably. Trace the lines to find a cracked hose or fitting.

are the AC controls vacuum controlled?

        or are they electronically controlled?

check your spacious engine bay for loose hoses/leaks. Worst case scenario, pull the dash &check the hoses hooked up to the controls.

remove the passenger side panel underneath the glove box (called kicker panel?) then there are 2 or 3 screws you can take out to take the glove box out. You should be able to see some vacuum lines without the glove box in the way. You'll probably want to go ahead and remove the casing that is way back in there that will give you access to the heater core and one of those doors. I don't think this is the door that has the problem though. I've never dug any deaper into the dash than that so if there are any other doors or lines, somebody else will have to speak up. I'm sure there are.

hopefully it will all come back together the right way
