So I have the Pass II key, and I have been having problems starting the car every now and then. The security light comes on and I have to wait a few minutes before I can try it again. The chip in the key looks a little worn, but the dealership tested it and they say the key is fine. It is going to cost me $37.50 just for a new key or $80.00 to diagnosis it and then whatever repairs and parts are needed after that. I don't know wether to buy a new key and risk losing $37.50 or just have them do the diagnosis. Has any one else had a simialar problem?

Do a search for it. Some have said that it is just the flimsy wire that GM used under the dash, and that it is the problem. They say rewiring something with a better wire, will do it. Seriously, I have searched this before, and found page after page.www.fullthrottlev6.com THE SOURCE!
