Hole under spare tire Is it supose to be there?

Ok I have a Round hole under my spare tire. Is there suppose to be a plug or something to cover it? Its just open does any one else have this hole? Please help! Thanks!

hehe I have it too I don't worry about it too much. I keep my ice in there, after I drain the water out of the bag between runs.

Your in Oviedo? WE are having a little bit of an f-body meet tonight, near UCF. Off of university and Goldenrod at Sonic's.

Its primarily a UCF and Valencia thing but you can come.

If memory serves correctly, that hole is there for draining moisture. On older cars, when the seals on the rear hatch would start to leak, the water would collect in the spare tire well and rust it out. The hole is to make sure the majority of that water drains. As long as the hole is not rusted and is painted the whole way through, it won't be a problem to have it there.

Yep I am form Ft. Lauderdale and am up here going to UCF [img]smile.gif[/img] COme out we had some fun, like 3rd, 4th gens, v6s v8s, Lots of fun.
