i have been looking these things up on ebay, they range from $5-$50 and are all basically the same. they have something to do with the resistor. you supposedly get 10-20 more horse, but i'm not exactly sure what they do, or IF ITS SAFE FOR MY CAR , which is a beutifull metalic green 94 3.4! im not sure what you mean by the black box mod but i can without a doubt tell you that the 10-20 HP gains is

Probably either the IAT or TPS mod. either way they are crap. don't even bother. testing done with the IAT mod showed a 1 HP gain in some cases and loss in others. not to mention that it's never a good idea to mess with timing advance. It;s controled by temp for a reason. if your combustion chamber temps are high and it;s taking away timing to prevent detonation why would you want to add more? Best advise.
