I'm having trouble scanning my computer. I've checked the wiring from the datalink to the connector to the engine harness. The white/black diagnostic enable wire ends there! There doesn't appear to be any modifications to the engine wiring harness either. So what the heck? 94 camaros are obd1 right? I pulled the computer and I can't find a white/black wire in any of those banks on the bottom. I really need some help with this one.

Could any 3.4L, 5spd, Camaro/Firebird owner please help me out? Under the passenger side kick panel there is a blue connector, the pinouts are the same as the harness diagram from shoebox http://shbox.com/1/harness_connector_faces.htm Does your connector have a "C" or a white/black wire on both sides of the connector?

Here is a better way to explain my problem. On this diagram, the "Diagnostic Test Terminal" terminal "B" is the white/blk wire. The interior wiring harness in my car has this but the engine harness didn't. From the blue connector marked "10-way I/P CONN." the white/blk wire does not exist on my car. There is not even a connector for it on the harness that connects to the ecm. This has to be the strangest problem I've ever encountered.

I have the wiring diagrams somewhere as i used the complete 94 3.4 as a transplant into my 83 4x4 Blazer.
I wired the ALDL connector into the harness next to the PCM in engine compartment. All I do is run wire from scanner to inside thru a window if I want to drive while scanning. I wish there was a cheap easy way to scan mine like all my other cars that have OBDII which i can use my laptop and autotap.
perhaps you can add the pin and wire to your PCM
and hook up scanner like I did.

v6droptop, I think that's what I'm going to have to do. How did you wire the aldl connector to the computer. If you knew exactly what pin the diagnostic enable wire went to that would really help. My car has been sitting on the driveway for a couple of weeks, I suspect a sensor is bad and I'm trying to fix this problem before I can diagnose that one. Thanks for your help!

Does anyone know if you can hook up the laptop to the 94 firebird 3.4L for diagnosic reading thru the ALDL?
