There is a ticking noise that sounds like its comming from the tranny. i can only hear it at idle and it goes away when i push the gas. it also goes away when i push in the clutch? what is causing this noise and how much would it be to get it fixed?

I think John_D is onto something with the idea of the throwout bearing. The way the clutch is set up, it's constantly riding pressure on the fingers of the clutch assy. When you press the clutch, it increases the pressure on those fingers releasing the clutch disc. If you look at a clutch assy. diagram you'll see the return spring is on the back side of the throwout bearing instead of on the clutch side. I thought this was weird when I installed my new clutch, but that's the way it came apart. It also could be the fingers on the clutch assy. wearing out as well. My car had 68K on it and my throwout bearing was TRASHED!!! Good luck
