• Bad Mileage after Fuel Pump Replacement?

I tried searching for this but didn't find anything.

Last month I had to replace the fuel pump on my 2002 Camaro. It only has 40k on it.

Since this was done, my fuel mileage has really fallen off. I was averaging 22 mpg, but these last couple of tanks have only been around 17 mpg or so. Also, the SES came on last night. I reset the gas cap and the light went off this afternoon.

Did my bad fuel pump screw up some of the sensors like the O2 sensor or something? Should I give it another tank to see if it comes around?

Thanks in advance for your help. I'm glad I found this site! It rocks!!
