    my thing was just on red when i refueled, and it was 13.2 galons... so there was still left there i guess, and check gauges thing didnt come on either... (i thought my car was 15.5 galons?)

      yes if you say your manual says 15.5 then great the change over was in 99 because mine says 16.8 like I said before. This is a done deal...close topic

        2k+ or 99+ got 16.8
        my check guages light comes on after about 12 gallons

          99Camaro99 I totally understand what your saying. I wasn't sure what year his car was and all, plus I just wanted to get the correct info for everybody. Better to have the correct info then get screwed up later with incorrect info. Thanks for the correction though, it always helps to have knowledge of the different years and the sizes that came with them. I just didn't want you to take my statements as being a flame or bashing your info. I should have stated that earlier.

            had a friend with a 96 camaro.. he burned up the fuel pump by trying to run it dry. you really don't want to do that cause those things aint cheap.

            also I understand that our tanks are V shaped but when I am doing highway cruising I get the same mileage out of each 1/4 tank.. roughly 110 miles or so out of each 1/4 and that is good from the first one to the last one... I think our guages (at least for the 98's I'm pretty sure) are calibrated to make up for that V shaped tank..
