do you have to drain coolant when putting in new thermo?

Nope, when you take off the wtare outlet housing, a little might try and spill out, but not bad at all. I did mine when the car was cool, so it may be a little (or alot) different when it's hot. Actually, I wouldn't even try it while hot, not only could you not touch anything on the car, you couldn't open the housing without a mess.<a href=\"http://www.fullthrottlev6.com\" target=\"_blank\">www.fullthrottlev6.com</a> THE SOURCE!

One quick recommendation. Get yourself a flat-articulated socket (not sure of the size).
