I mean WTF they work when they want to. both of them, they will not move at all, they will not go up at all or they wont go down at all. whats going on anyone else have this problem?

Yes, I had a similar problem once.
Check the door (window) switches. Mine broke once and the window wouldn't go up, just down. I messed around with it for a minute or two, then it would go up temporailly. There is little white "sring actuated plastic pieces" inside of the window switch housing, and they control the way electric currents tell the motor how to control the window. They sometimes break, and cause havoc like you described above.
GM part #'s for window the switches are:
1993 -right side 10402833 $5.25
-left side 10402834 $9.95
1994-96 -right side 10402837 $5.25
-left side 10402838 $9.95
1997-99 -right side 10402841 $9.95
-left side 10402842 $9.95
**those are estimated prices. They may be a bit higher than posted. Normally only a few dollars more.
