I did it with my 3.4, havent done it with the 3.8 yet. You just take the two coolant lines off, and connect them together with a $.50 hose connector from the auto store. I'll check out the TB on the 3.8 tomorrow, and post some pics of how to do it if you still need it.

        coolant plug? what is that???

would it be possible if i could find something solid that i could cut out a section of the hose and buy 2 more clamps and clamp it there so no more fluid flows past that?

im just gonna get some friggen JB weld again and fill it......if it werent so much work i would just remove the radiator completely so i could have enough room to keep the TB on while drilling out a new hole so i can put a new bolt back in

For the money, buy the TB spacer from zzp (about $45). It blocks off the coolant flow and comes with everything you need.
