  • How do I recharge my AC?

    Just like the topic says.

The condensor on my car had a hole in it, and the AC didn't work at all! We had it replaced and R-134a put in it. It worked...but weakly. This was last year.

I'm tired of having a wussy AC in my car. I mean, its OK when its not thathot, but when its really hot, its just asking for help.

I know there are do it yourself AC recharge things available, but how do I go about doing this? Where can I get this stuff? This is on a 3.4, BTW.

    Thanks in advance

the best way to do it, is to rent a vacuum pump and manifold gauges from AutoZone or something. I have my own so I've never done that before, and our AZ closed down a couple years ago. Anyway, you need to pull a vacuum on the system to get any air out, which is probably why it's not working very well. All the moisture will disappear also. Then fill it back up with refridgerant to about 200-225 high side and 40-45 low side I think, which should be about 32 ounces.
