  • 2001 compatibility with 160stat?

Are any 2001 owners out there successfully (like over 5,000 miles without issues) running the 160 stat? Thanks =)

Even after re-programming with Hypertech's HPP3 I still cannot run the 160 without the usual problem of SES, dead temp gauge, and fans on high.

on my old bird the 2000 i ran it with no problems... but thats here in texas where its always hot so thats probably an issue, i'll be ordering another one for the 2002 here pretty soon. also i didnt use the power programmer on the old car... hope that helps... if you still get the SES light you might try going with the 180 but then again you might get the same problem... good luck let us know how it goes and if i get mine first i'll let ya'll know...
