ok with the cars ignition on (NOT RUNNING!!) shift into "1", then look at the back of the shifter knob should see a little metal line thats the head of the pin. with a small flat screwdriver prize the pin out and the use a bit of brute force to pull of the knob [img]smile.gif[/img]

oh and might be an idea to put your handbrake on when your doing this [img]smile.gif[/img]

he says it comes on when the car is on so I assume its not the bulb.

Check the connector, take off the shifter knob and the upper part of the center console and I think you can get to it.

OK, unless i am the most idiotic stoopid person or my shifter knob does not have that u pinn or i am goin blind. I just dont see the u pin. i dont think it has one. i am gonna have the dealership take it off at my next oilchange... so frustrating...

You may be able to get the Console top off without having to remove your shift knob.

Providing there is enough room between the Shift Plate and the bottom of the shift know, you may be able to swivel the Console top around enough to gain access to the Parking Brake without having to remove the console completely.
