  • Loose wire? Weak Alarm?

Ahhh somebody tell me this is an easy fix.

    Here is the problem…..

My car runs fine gauges read normal but,

When I set the alarm instead of a HONK HONK, I get a very faint hmp hmp.

To top it off when I try to start the car it wants to drag, bad, hrm hrm hrm then it starts right up and no problems.

I had this problem twice before both times it was the neg cable at the battery, not this time.

Again the car runs fine, and the amp gauge reads 14, which is normal for my car.

I will swing by autozone after work and see if they can scan it.

    Any ideas?
I have made a lot of money in my life, most of which I spent on cars and women.<p>The rest I have blown.

On the way to work this morning my radio would flash off and on and the clock reset like the power was pulled. Also my tripometer has been reset.

I will swing by autozone after work and see if they can scan it.

Horn is fine at all times, even with the car turned off.

Battery will play the radio with car turned off. All lights/gauges come on when key is turned on.

I was hoping there would be a common "loose wire" problem or a fuse problem that may cause this.

The tripometer and the clock on hte radio have both reset twice in the last two days.

Horn problem when setting the alarm is itermintent sometimes its week sometimes its not.
