Your local Autozone can check them.

edit: and also if your misfire is pulling a code, they can tell you from which cylinder and help you narrow down the problem.

A blinking code? Do you mean your SES light is flashing? If so, that means you have an continuous misfire, as opposed to the PCM detecting a few misfires and throwing a code. You need to pull the code to find out what cylinder is misfiring.

I'm guessing you had a misfire before you changed the plugs and wires. Does it seem like the miss was better, worse, or the same after you changed everything? If it feels like there was no change then it could very well be the a coil. If it feels better it's probably a plug wire arcing. If it feels worse you could have replaced the plugs/wires incorrectly.

If you had no miss before changing the plugs and wires then you either screwed up installing the plugs, or, more likely, a plug wire is arcing.

I would pull off the coils first and take a look at them. When I had this problem, one of my coils had cracked and was very aparent.

i had that problem after i changed just the wires, and my problem was that i did not have all of the plug wire boots locked on to the plugs, so just make sure heyre snug, and maybe thatll solve your problem...

I somehow got two of the plug wires mixed up and that was causing a misfire for me.

i went to auto zone today. they scanned it

i dont remember the exact code.

                i think PO301.

but i do remember it was cylinder 1 misfire.

could a coil pack go bad.. but only cause one cylinder to misfire..instead of both of them?

                im stumped

all of the plugs are securely in there.. plug wires SNAPPED when i pushed them in.. i triple checked just to be sure.

they are brand new 8mm spark plug wires.. i seriously doubt they are arcing after 2 days of having them on.

                  spark plugs are brand new..

and yea..sorry..not a blinking code.. but a blinking check engine light.

the wires are NOT mixed up. if so, i'd have at least 2 misfires. plus the fireing order is not that hard to remember.

i DID have the same exact misfire before i changed the plugs and wires.

lol..i did not install plugs and wires incorrectly. i did not gap them incorrectly either.

im just stumped because if my coil pack was shot to ****, wouldnt i be misfireing in 1 and 6 instead of just 1??(i think its 1 and 6 on the same coil)
