hey i just had some questions before i started to change the plugs and or wires.
1 is there a way to test if the wires are shot with a volt meter. if so how?
2 is there any tricks towards chaging out the spark plugs? I've read from others that this isnt a fun job. just seeing if there are any things i need to look out for.
You can test the wires by checking their resistance. This would require something like a multimeter. For specific wires there's a specific resistance per foot (I think its per foot). It's usually listed on the box they come in. If the resistance per foot is higher than it should be it would probably be a good idea to replace them. If you get no reading at all then the wires are definetly shot.
A few tips for changing the plugs are: wait till the car is cold, have quite a few rachet extensions handy, and have patience. There's quite a few other helpful tips and tricks in other posts so try doing a search.
