I use the kind we keep at the dealership. I work for toyota and we have a presureized can that you plug into the fuel rail, pull the fuel pump relay and run the car off the can for about 15-30 mins. works great.

I use the Chevron with Techron stuff. I would like to find the stuff like camaro97 is talking about. I heard that works the best for cleaning injectors.

best you can buy would be BG Products 44K fuel system cleaner. it's very expensive but is the best out there. It's industrial so you need to actualy buy it from a shop that carries it.

But other then that the actual best would be a fuel injector power flush coupled with a top engine power clean. Very expensive but something I would invest in every 20-30K miles if you want your car to not biuld up all that carbon wwith high mileage

What about an actual fuel injector cleaning service? Where you give them your injectors and they do sonic cleaning, flow testing, resistance checkings, etc. I was thinking that would be the best way to have them brought back to "like-new" standards.

I found the 44k fuel system cleaner on SOA's site, for about $16.

redline makes great stuff. expensive, but great. I'm about to do a tranny flush, and I got 3 gallons of their tranny fluid coming in today. It was only $96 for the fluid

I dump the wal-mart supertech injector cleaner in every other oil change. I also seafoam about every 10k. No problems here.

good thread. I used the expensive, "complete" fuel system cleaner from STP on my old 3.4, didn't do a damn thing different than the wal-mart stuff. 1.97...can't beat it.

However, i've only owned 3 camaros and ran the "cheap" stuff and had no problems. I've been a firm believer in buy cheap, change often. This method has worked extremely well for me. I also use the wal-mart fully synthetic 10-30 and change every 3500-4 with the ST3980 (4.3 V6 filter) and no problems either or "performance" loss versus the nearly 5 dollar a quart mobil 1.

I just came across a great thread at one of my other forums, that goes into really deep details about different products for cleaning the engine. A good read

I use Techron once per oil change.
There is a discussion about it on BITOG, and apparently the chemical formula for the BG stuff has recently been changed.

Yea, guys, getting your injectors actually cleaned by a dealer is best, but if you wanna use the gas tank kind, Chevron w/ Techron is the best.
