Ok I'm commuting from Uniontown,pa to huntington, wv (3 1/2 hrs). Monday through fridays I'm in pa, weekends I'm in wv. So anyways I've noticed after driving on the interstate for long periods of time then if I take an exit ramp or come to a stop. When I put the car in nuetral or just press the clutch down. The rpm's drop below where it normal idles. Like it is about to die. But then it goes back up to normal idle. I thought it was maybe a loose belt but they all seem to be pretty tight. Any ideas??

I drove over 1300 miles last weekend with the longest stretch being over five hours and close to 400 miles without stopping in my Camaro and I never noticed anything like this. It could be different in the newer years though.Black 2002 Camaro M5-SS takeoff muffler, B&M Ripper, K&N Filter, 35/20% tint, Infinity speakers, Viper alarm, perpetually breaking clutch return spring mod. 15.49@90.15
Pewter 2002 Firebird M5 (Dad\'s Car)

Well mine is a 96, with 136,000 miles. Just around town it's fine and I never noticed this. It's only after I drive for 100 miles or so at 85 give or take 10. It's never stalled out. Just drops to about 500rpm then right back up to normal idle.
