There was a loud noise coming from the engine and I found out it was the water pump. So i bought a new one and installed it my self. For some reason its still over heating. I opened the hood and saw it leaking from the radiator cap. I just bought that cap and I was told it was the best one for the car. But its from autozone and it looks kinda cheap compared to the old one it had which i lost. Any one know what might be causing this problem? Could it be the Thermostat? or what else can it be?

were the thermo is there a bleed srew right thtere star the car when it cold and open that til you get fluid then wait and try agin if fulid comes out almost instantly your good

I turned on the car and unscrewed that screw you said and no water comes out... I just waited like 5 min or less.. Do I need to wait longer or does the car need to get hot?

you sure you have all the fluid you need in your radatior?

Yeah im sure... I checked it and i even added some more... You think maybe i unscewed the wrong screw? I unscrewed it and i think it had a plastic washer.... Is that it?
Refill the radiator, stopping often to let air bubbles escape.
When the radiator is almost full, squeeze the hoses to let some more trapped air out, and maybe bounce the car a little.
When the radiator is all the way full, refill the expansion tank to the "cold" mark[I assume you emptied that out also].
Run the car up to normal operating temperature, THEN open the bleed screw slowly until a small stream of liquid comes out, then close it.
Recheck the radiator and expansion tank before the next cold start.
p.s. make sure you have the right psi rating for the cap. On my 2000, it's 18psi, which is higher than many caps you usually see. That would make a difference in the boiling point of your coolant. Sorry, I don't know which one is right for a '94
