  • Odd A/C problem

I have my A/C running at full
When I really give my car some gas the AC cuts out until my RPM's die back down

Any idea what would cause that?

I think it's designed to do that. AC compressors have a clutch that disengages the compressor at high RPMs. I think it supposed to protect it and the belt from high revs.

Yep, it's normal. At WOT the A/C cuts out.

It's actually not normal for it to stay off or run that low. Mine did that and I've had it fixed twice. There's a vavle and gasket somewher that they keep replacing but will never tell me. But as soon as they fix it all is well.
