So I'm driving down the road, I come to a light where I'm turning right. There's a gas station right there on the corner, about 10 feet away from me. So I turn... I go to turn my wheel, and I can't. I press the gas, and nothing happens (well, almost nothing, I was just idling forward). I grab my wheel with both hands, and can barely turn it. It takes both hands and all of my strength just to turn the wheel to the right so I can turn, althewhile going 5 MPH. So I decide to roll into the gas station, which is also a repair station. I play it off, and coast into a gas receptical parking spot, still turning very slowly as my wheel is so difficult to turn it's ridiculous. So I stop. I look at my guages, and my oil pressure guage is down to 0. I turn my car off, and turn it back on, and it's fine, so I drive away, puzzled and scared of what it could've been. I have plenty of oil in my car. The only oil related problem I have is a leak. It's a pretty bad leak, but my oil pressure has stayed steady at about half for as long as I've had the car, so I've assumed it's alright. So I'm completely stumped. Why did my steering wheel lock up like that? Why did nothing happen when I pressed the gas? Why did the oil pressure guage suddenly drop to zero? I'm terrified that it'll happen again, even though all I had to do was restart the car, it might not be so easy next time. When I had the oil leak checked a while back the guy said it would cost like $250 to get it fixed because it's in a bad location that would have to be replaced. So that's my last option, but if I have to do it, I will, I just need as much help as possible in finding out what's wrong. Any help is appreciated, because I'm dead stumped.
