If it's not leaking, why mess with it? Just because a lot of them do, it doesn't mean yours will. I used to work in the auto shop at walmart and noticed a lot of cars over like 130K usually have rear main seal leaks. I have like 72 K on my 99. I was just wondering since the car is apart to go ahead and do it. My buddy has a 95 impaula ss with like 90K on his, his rear main seal went just last month. Hit me back. Thanks for all the help.http://members.cardomain.com/99gatorbird
99 Ram Air V6, 18\" Z06 Rims, WS6 Ram Air Style Hood and Lower airbox, Center Force Dual Friction, 3.42 GM Gears, Zexel-Torsen LSD, Free Mods, Dynomax Ultra Flow, Custom Interior, Several Decals from firebats cave
9/14/03
1/8- 10.45 @ 66.72
(I know i can do better)

I'd do it. Eventually it will start leaking and you'll be paying for all the same labor you are now, they'll have to yank the tranny again, shouldn't be any additional labor if you do it now, maybe flywheel labor or something. an additional $30 now is far better than another $250-$300 down the road.

I did the opposite, I changed my clutch when I did my rear main at ~74k. It was only about half worn....but at least I don't have to take it apart again to change the clutch....1999 Pewter Camaro M5
Y87 Performance Package, Sport Appearance Package, Diamond Clears
Factory SS Hood, Free Ram Air Mod, Whisper Lid w/ K&N Air Filter
CarSound Cat 94009, B&B Tri-Flo w/ Quad Tips
BMR SFC, BMR STB, KVR Blank Rotors, Hawk HPS Pads
Black Painted Calipers w/ CAMARO Decal, 245/50 Dunlop SP Sport 5000
20% Rear 35% Side Tint, Red Reflective Inlays, Invincishield
Young girls avert their eyes, weak men tremble, Ford dealers faint.
