  • What's LS1 and LT1?

Sorry guys, I know it is a stupid question but I'm new to this car. I have a V6 99 Firebird and was wondering if it was and LS1 I believe the LT1 is for the v8 right? Just need to know cuz I've seen many performance parts for an LS1 but aren't sure if it is for my car or not, thanks for the help.

Thanks for all the help guys, appreciate it. BTW do you guys happen to know of any websites for performance parts for a V6 Firebird. I mean like intakes, exhaust, headers, chips?

It is http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com, but I don't see any there. Thought that myth was dispelled in multiple posts here before but I could be wrong.

Checked the site earlier. Didn't find anything for the V6 F-bodies, just our V8 brethren. Sorry, folks.....

ya, vortech only makes supercharger kits for V8 f-bodies. The PowerDyne kit's are the only ones available for 3.8L V6's as of right now.
