ok so im putting wires sleeves on my wires in the engine bay right? and im cutting the old sleeve covering the MAF sensor on the intake, i didnt look where i was cutting and cut both wires!! uhhhhhh, if anyone has an SLP CAI they know that the placement for the sensor is pretty bad so i couldnt just tape them back together. I used an "extension" wire where the cut was made to link the two ends together then used electrical tape to hold them together. What do u guys think? should i have it checked out by someone?

edit from nb2k: thanks for keeping the titles in my forum clean in the future!!

Splicing in a new wire should be ok, just as long as its a similar gauge & a short length.

For something that touchy and exposed, I would solder the splices and then tape them, but other than that, it should be fine.

I would suggest sodering and shrink wrap to make them water tight and look alot better than tape.

crimping in some butt-splices would also be good, if you're a not-so-good solderer. be sure to shrink wrap in any case
