    has anyone used it and is it worth the 10 bucks?

    heres what they say it does:

    Sealing grease is designed to create an airtight seal between the filter and the tube.

    I think that in a normally aspirated conditions, it'd be really unnecessary. Maybe if you have a ram-air hood (even though that wouldn't even be pressurized...)?
