hey guys have a problem... my gear on my driver side headlight wouldn't go up all the time,,, i would have to manually start it and then turn on the lights. for the past week everytime i use my keyless entry the lights pop up then close and the motor makes a grinding sound and i can see that its still spinning for about 5 seconds... any ideas on how i could fix this problem.. also my a/c panel side is sometimes goes out and then dims and other times its fine... any ideas what it could be?

Hmm, the keyless entry thing is something I've never heard of. I'm not sure why they would pop up and then go back down... I'm stumped on that one. But as far as the noise goes, it's a common problem among Firebirds, and mine still does it, I just haven't felt like fixing it (even though it's quite embarassing when it happens in public). Anyway, check out the site below for info on how and why the motor makes that noise, so maybe you can fix one thing at a time.

The lights are going on with your keyless entry because of the faulty gears, it's like a warning system kind of thing. Fix the gears and it won't do that anymore.
