I noticed that when my car has heated up and it's stopped moving I get a loud annoying squealing noise comming from my engine. It goes away if I turn on my heat or AC. What is making this sound and how can I make it stop?

I think I have the same problem. I looked under the hood and noticed that when the AC and heat is turned off, the belt goes on and off the ac thingy. That is what is causing the noise. I don't know if its a concern or not cause i know nothing about cars but i did figure out that, that is whats causing a noise. It goes away when you have the AC on cause the belt doesn't move it just stays on the AC.1994 Camaro 3.4L Auto Maroon
http://userpages.umbc.edu/~panic1/pics.htm
