  • Place to order weatherpack connectors / Making them

Anybody make their own weatherpack connectors (OK, not make a weatherpack connector, but make wires with them on.. ;) )? If so, did you use a normal set of pliers to carefully crimp the ends, or did you spring for the $100 crimpers? Personally, $100 for pliers is a bit STEEEEEP.
Also, has anybody found a good cheap mailorder place?

I'm going to make some homemade MAFT+ extensions and mount the box in the interior "stealth like" to keep the stock appearance up. Everybody on the board forget I said that.. :D

bend them over a bit with the pliers and then solder them. better than crimping. hard part is getting the iron out to the car.

MotorMite; AKA: Dorman, Help!, Champ Service, RBIndustries; makes a cheap tool. It's called a "technician grade crimp tool". They also sell the terminals. "STANDARD MOTOR PROD" also sells them.

What exactly does the MAFT+ do?

It lets you adjust your fuel rich/lean for an across the board setting and WOT only and also lets you adjust timing +/- for the same (The timing is the + part, you can get one that only does fuel).

        Thanks for the links too...
