  • My car has a mind of it's own...

Alright, this is really weird, and i'm not even sure where to start looking to fix it... here's what is happening.

Everytime I hit the keyless entry on my car, my headlights pop up, and then close again, but on the left headlight, there is a loud noise for about 10 seconds after they close again. The noise also happens if I just open and close the headlights normally. It sounds as if maybe the motor is jamming or something. With the hood up, I can see that the driver side headlight shakes violently when the noise happens.

Any ideas on what is happening?

yeh, thats the typical gear failure as far as I can tell. Mine did odd stuff when my gear went out. Thats where I would start

thats the cheapest way to fix it, its not hard either

This is the easiest fix that makes you feel good after you fix it. I cant stand that annoying sound. Just rotate the gears by spinning the motors manually so that your motors are using the other side of the gear to raise and lower the light. Read the fix. Peace
