      You guys gotta be kidding.

      1. Place ramps in front of tires. 2, Drive up, with a 5-speed.

Takes me less than 30 seconds. The Rhino Ramps have a big lip at the end. Plus you have plenty of warning as the tires go from the slope to the flat. I'm not saying you couldn't drive over them, but, for me, it's dead easy.

It takes me longer to get out the jack and the stands (takes two trips), much less use them. And, with stands, one little oops and it's not the fender you're worried about.
Ramps have a lip, but in a manual, you have to ride the clutch up the ramp onto the ramp, push the clutch in and get on the brakes quick, or you will continue to roll forward, and that little 1/4 lip is not going to stop your momentum forward. I mean its doable but not worth the "stress"

I guess you could really rev high and ride the clutch hard, but for the extra wear on the clutch I will take the 1 minute it takes to jack my car up.

Also with ramps you are limited on what you can do with a car, with jackstands, you have more options. So even if you use ramps, you will still need a jack and jackstands. I woudl rather put the money towards a good jack and jackstands. When I lived in apartments I didn't want crap cluttering my room. Now I live in a townhome with 2 car garage and I don't want crap cluttering my garage.

I have had ramps, and just gave them to old my roomate and stuck to my jackstands.

You guys act like its hard to jack the car up. Just put the jack under the k-member at an angle to the side of the air dam.

Or just jack up by the pumpkin for the rear.

I am higher then I am on ramps, safer imo.

Who needs jackstands, I use a wicker basket to hold my car up while I work on it.

First you must be a bad stick driver not to be able to effortlessly go up the ramps. Second You could drive a bus up my ramps, much stronger than those plastic POS. I will post a pic when I get home.

Guess thats the issue, I can't drive a stickshift... :(

Just saying becareful... I have seen 2X8s, bow and one split rolling a 2000 lbs fiero up them 6 in onto a trailer. I trust wood with alot of things and somethings I don't.

But its cool you saved $20 on a set of jackstands.
