When my car is idling the lights on the inside of the car and on the outside slightly flicker...I never seen them do that before, and when Im driving and I brake sometimes the tach will jump up and down all crazy...this just started happening
I went and tested the battery and alt at autozone and both are good....so I dunno could it be the voltage regulator or is it internal in the alternator?
Good luck, mine has been doing that since I got it. The map lights and the headlights too. Not the tail lights or the instrument lights. When I had a tach problem it was a plug wire, check yours to make sure they are all good, and hooked up. One of the plug wires had a nick and it was arcing on the exaust manifold. You can hear a tick, or see it at night in the dark. Dont know why the breaks would cause that though. Should be a different circuit. The regulator is internal, by the way.
