I have a 1994 3.4L camaro. I have difficulty starting the car after it sits for a few hours. I turn the key and it cranks and cranks and cranks but the engine never quite turns over or if it does turn then it kinda sounds really hard and then usually stalls. HOwever, almost 90% of the time, it will start on the second try!!
I don't believe its the battery because I can hear the fuel pump turn on and my stereo and all comes on.
I also have a light grey smoke come out of the exhaust. Someone told me i might be burning oil, and that could be causing my spark plugs to go bad? THat results in difficulty starting and bad acceleration. I did notice the other day I was a qt. low on oil and had to top that off. I'm no mechanic, any suggestions? Do I probably need to just go and get a regular tune up like my dad says? I've had the car one year and it only has 80k miles on it.
thanks
